I was privileged to be part of the finance department of one of the premier Independent Water and Power Projects (IWPPs) in Qatar, playing a key role in its financial journey. I had the opportunity to be involved in the entire project lifecycle—from post bid finalization to financial close, through construction completion, and into operational management.

Throughout this process, I collaborated with a diverse range of stakeholders, including financial modelers, hedging experts, legal advisors, lead arrangers and technical advisors, ensuring that the project’s financial structure remained robust and aligned with contractual obligations. This experience gave me invaluable exposure to complex financial structuring, risk mitigation strategies, and stakeholder coordination, reinforcing my expertise in large-scale infrastructure finance and investment.
